The University of Georgia School of Social Work has been preparing students for challenging and rewarding careers in social work for more than four decades. We opened our doors in 1964 with eight professors, 24 students, and one graduate degree program. Today, our School has over 20 faculty and a student body numbering nearly 500. We offer four degree programs and a number of certificates in specialized fields. Our school continues to rise to the challenge of meeting the increasing demand for knowledgeable and skilled social work professionals in Georgia and beyond.
